Nebraska

Windshield - No tint is allowed below the AS-1 line or five inches below the top of the windshield. Red, yellow, or amber colored film is prohibited on the windshield.  Basically, it's a good idea if you're able to see out of your windshield, I know, crazy concept.

Front Side Windows - Visible Light Transmission (VLT) must be higher than 35%.  You won't get a black-out effect, but it's still quite a bit darker than a clear window.  Plus you'll still be getting all of that great UV protection.

Rear Windows Behind Driver - Visible Light Transmission (VLT) must be higher than 20%.  This means you can go quite a bit darker on your rear side windows and rear window.

Exceptions - Tint regulations do not apply to windows behind the driver's seat of a multipurpose vehicle, van, or bus.  A multipurpose vehicle is, "a vehicle designed to carry ten or fewer passengers that is constructed on a truck chassis or with special features for occasional off-road use."  Feel free to go as dark as you want on the windows behind the front seat of a full size pickup or SUV.
